My first block!

Hey there! New here. This is my first block. I have been sewing for quite sometime, but I am way better at applique than piecing. I hope through practice I will improve. I haven't done any traditional pieced quilting for years and boy can you tell! Still, I am not going to get hung up on it, just yet. I want to get the feel for making the blocks before I start fretting over matching the seems. So that means you all are going to be subjected to some crooked blocks for awhile!

I like your selection of vibrant fabrics and the printed one ties them all in. Good work.

we all have our turns at crooked seams and unmatched points, so no worries :-)

Welcome to our Party! I love your choice of fabrics! That multi-coloured one really gives movement to the block!

Welcome! My philosophy is that a few crooked seams or cut off points are part of the charm of any quilt. If appliqued blocks were part of the challenge at the block party, I'd be in big trouble. Your fabric choices are great.
