HOORAY - I AM UP TO DATE

I have been steaming away at my sewing machine this week, and it has paid off, because I am right up to date with all the blocks now, I just have to make the one that was loaded today. To say I have a BIG smile on my face is putting it mildly!!!!

Double Quartet -- I do like this one despite the slightly odd combination of fabrics.

What a mess! This is the first time I've printed out the pattern and followed it exactly because it had so many weird sizes. I agree that something is off. If I were doing this pattern again I would paper piece it and maybe it wouldn't turn out so wonky.

Here is my block for this week. I used up every left-over scrap from another quilt I was working on. I only had to cut the large triangles. And thanks to this Party, I am not afraid of HST anymore!

4 and 20 Blackbirds

Up here in the Sierra forest, we don't have sparrows. What we have are bluejays and mountain chickadees. And crows. Big, loud, black crows. So here's my flock of crows.

I'm an expert at HST now! This one went together in 15 minutes, cutting and all. No seam ripper was needed and no points were harmed in the making of this block. Yaaayyy!
