2011 Week 32 - Change of Pace

It's time to take a break from sewing new blocks, and instead to spend at least a week sewing some blocks together, doing some free motion quilting, or ....!

That's fine with me, Hetty. I've been spending this week with a lot of quilt guild business - the end of the year, turning over treasurer duties, binding our raffle quilt - and we leave today for vacation. I'l get back to some blocks I missed when I get back. Enjoy yourself!! Kathie L in Allentown

it is 100F here right now (it was 105 yesterday afternoon when I was milking the cow). A quilt break during the heatwave is just the thing!

I need a break! My machine is back in the shop - again. It is still hot, but not as bad as earlier in the summer. I am going to work on inventing a new drink - something to forget my machine troubles and keep me cool at the same time. I'll call it The Big Chill or something like that.

Sounds like fun!

I'm going to sew again on Sunday as my needles arrived. (I have been doing FMQ incorrectly and broke all my needles....)

Today attending the wedding of my cousin at noon, and daughter of one of my husband's co-workers at 6pm. We were lucky not at the same time.

Hope my first-ever spray on tan doesn't run!
