I wanted to try this block again, but doing a variation of it this time. The flying geese reminded me of Dutchman's Puzzle and that is what I was trying to make. But I should have known my layout wasn't right. It went together too easily. Oh, well. The instructions for speed piecing this block are amazing. So back to the drawing board, or sewing machine in this case. I am going to try again. Be back in half an hour....... Actually I'm kidding. I think I ate something that is not agreeing with me and I feel awful. I'm going to bed now and will do the DP tomorrow.Friday, August 7, 2009
Trying for Dutchman's Puzzle, but.......
I wanted to try this block again, but doing a variation of it this time. The flying geese reminded me of Dutchman's Puzzle and that is what I was trying to make. fun seeing what you can do with the geese units... :-)
When I look at your block I see the image of Christmas trees. I was looking at some Christmas fabric and it had styalized trees on it that look rather similar to the shapes in your block.
