Hearth and Home
I have finished this week's block. It was an easy, straight forward block and I am thankful for that! There is just too much going on around here today. I didn't like the cross in the middle of the block, so I tried to sort of camouflage it. I thought that a progression of colour from the inside to the outside of the block would make it resemble a sort of star burst, but I don't think I managed to do that. But that's okay. I like the block anyway.

Oh that is so pretty, I love it Hetty. Looks an easy one this time round, straight forward!!
I like your interpretation and the cross isn't so strong as in the original block. The only other idea that comes to mind is turning the middle section into a 9 patch if you really want to get away from a cross.
Hetty, Your color choices were excellent. It's a lovely block.
