Introduction - Nancy (Patchwork Penguin) and 1930's Block

Hi,

My name is Nancy, I'm from Pennsylvania, I'm married to Kevin, and have three daughters - Erin (in law school), Abby and Beth (twins entering 10th grade). I've been quilting for about 17 years though I don't get to work on it as much as I'd like to. My real job as a high school teacher is what keeps me from my quilting, but it is a necessity for fabric acquisition.

I found you all through another blog and I appreciate being allowed to play. I had to chuckle today when I first found you as the block chosen last was the 1930's Square. I had used this block in a Technique class last year and had also done it for a swap using 30's prints. I think that the blocks will eventually be put into a donated baby quilt.

Anyway, thank you all for letting me play. I hope to be able to keep up most of the time - probably more this summer than when school starts.

Quilty Hugs,

Nancy

Welcome to the Party Nancy! I used to work in a highschool too, but I am retired now and have a lot more time to quilt! You will love this Party! The blocks are all very interesting and it is fun to see what others do with them. Your 1930's square blocks look great!

Welcome, Nancy, from another Pennsylvanian quilter (Allentown). I enjoy the fun of trying a new block each week, and I'm sure you will too. Enjoy your summer.
