Here's my leap frog block. I was quite amazed at how well this came together given that some of this piecing I have never done - the X sections - I don't know if they have a technical term or not. So the Friday Block Party is really paying off when even new techniques are working out. I still had to use starch because the yellow fabric wasn't as tight of a weave as the batiks and was prone to stretching. My block came out to the proper size in the end so I'm pleased with the result.

The X units are a new to me technique too -- don't know how often I'll use it, but it was good to explore.
This is a beautiful one!
This would make a great quilt top in these fabrics.
