Lost in Wyoming

I can't say I enjoyed this block. I had a terrible time deciding what colors to use. I was trying to just use stuff from my scrap bin. I made the rectangle thingies first and discovered I had made them all the same instead of doing 4 reversed. I didn't have enough of my original fabric left so I had to pick something else and make a whole new batch. Even doing them twice, they still turned out a bit too small. I had to fudge a lot. The center thing is really wonky. I much prefer cutting a square and adding corners. This block could be made easier I think. The darn thing took me forever. I really like what everyone else has done and the great variety posted. It's a nice design but there is no way I'm making more of this one. I think it will become a throw pillow.

For some reason this block had a lot of challenges and I agree that there must be an easier way to make it. Even though you didn't have enough of your original fabric, I like the brown with the little flowers, it adds an additional visual element to the block.

I think yours came out well! I'm still working on mine -- too many HSTs to trim and I keep walking away from it...

I really think it turned out well. I did the same thing with the rectangles...becuase I just glanced at the directions. LOL

I love the red/rust in the centre.

I only just got around to starting this block and I agree that it is challenging! But yours looks great! A throw pillow would be very nice.

I am really drawn to your block and the nice, soothing colors. I find I like these colors a lot when *other people* use them. I never buy fabrics like these which I consider a country style, but I love them when others use them. I just "don't know how." Good job! It's interesting to hear everyone say how long this one took. It did me, too. Luckily I occasionally have patience to devote to one block. Usually I don't!
