I'm going to watch the rest of you

I admire everyone who can sew an 8 inch block from 69 pieces, but I won't be attempting this one. Instead, I used my sewing time yesterday to make three wonky star blocks for the Bushfire project for Australian fire victims. They're sort of the opposite of what we're doing at the Block Party -- 12.5 inch blocks from 4.5 inch squares, fast and easy and simple. I'm all for improving my piecing skills, but this weekend I have homework (a midlife M.A.) and I need to study.

Nice colours in your wonky blocks. I'm also working on blocks for the Bushfire project. I just have one block finished so far and it's posted on my blog. I'm now going to do some more today and leave the Lucky Stars block for tomorrow once I have a better idea of how to tackle that challenge.

I am going to be making some blocks later on tonight. Your blocks are really cute! I love the happy colors.

Love your wonky stars! Great colours! I am doing some of those also. And a couple of strip-pieced quilt-as-you-go blocks.

Great wonky stars! I made 4 and sent them off last week. Now I have no excuse for not tackling this week's block party block.
