Weeks 1 and 2
Having joined late I though I would try to get the first two blocks done before the next one starts. I am also doing the Black and White Quilt Challenge so thought this would be a good way to audition some of the blacks and whites I have. I know there are mistakes but it a long time since Idid any traditional piecing and I do have 'flu at the moment. I did change the arrangement in the Foot Stool block as I though that it looked better with with the black closer to the green and of course I added the third colour to the block.

I like your version of the footstool, it has anice visual appeal.
I'm with Vicki, your footstool block is a wodnerful adaptation of the pattern... the block pulled more closely to the centre works really well.
ditto above. I like this better than the "real" one. and I like the colours too. I'm in the bw challenge, but haven't done much except put my fabrics in a pile.
I love your version of footstool! If I didn't hate those hourglass blocks so much I would give it a try!
Really awesome blocks and welcome to the party!!!
I love the color combination you used.

I agree with the others. I really like your footstool block. It actually suggest a footstool, too...well sorta.
