Rotunda or Charlie Brown's Pumpkin Patch?

Because I really like what others did to this block, ie used the center to feature a particular print, I dug into the Halloween bin and came up with these pumpkins.
Overall I like this block but matching the seams on those corner squares proved problematic in places. Also, because I super sized my block to 10 inches (used EQ6) I had to use templates to cut each piece. Needless to say, this didn't get me excited.
In summary, it looks like most of us agree you can do so much with this block, and it would make an interesting one block quilt.

My final photo shows all 3 blocks joined together, separated by purple fabric with lime green eyes.
A while ago, Quilt Pixie asked if this fabric glows in the dark. I checked it out, and unfortunately none of it does.

definately the pumpkin patch! I've never tried resizing a block in EQ, but to be truthful I've neer used my EQ much :-( Handy to think of using it for resizing if I ever need to. Thanks for the hint.

Great idea to resize the block. Your Halloween quilt is coming together nicely.

Great idea to resize it. It turned out great! I thought of doing that too. I also thought of adding an extra round, but that would make it 11 1/2in. I may still make another block in a 10 1/2in. size. Maybe just by doing the centre to come out 4in. square (4 1/2in. unfinished). But then I'm not sure how to do the corners on that centre snowball. I think it might look okay just to do the centre in a fussy cut square of some novelty fabric. What is EQ? Is it a program for the computer?

I also thought about resizing but the math is beyond me and I don't have EQ. That glow in the dark favric has a funny rubbery coating like the stuff used on t-shirt photos. You could quilt it with glow in the dark thread! I saw some at WallMart.

What a fun quilt indeed and I like the purple and lime green fabric for the sashing.

This is looking really good. I'm going to stick with the block size i think and perhaps add wider sashing - or make more than one quilt!
