this week's block was a nice change from the triangles of the last two weeks -- lots of little pieces, but no pointy points to match up and not cut off :-)
I'm thinking this block might be really interesting if each of the corner areas were done in a different colour (going from light to dark still, just not each corner the same colour) --sort of like a colour wheel :-) I don't know that I'll do one, but interesting idea.

I like your choice of colours, especially the swirly middle piece. The block appears to have dimension, like you are looking down on top of an Aztec pyramid.
It took me forever to pick my fabrics. I had a some interesting pieces in my scrap box but then I had a hard time finding the remaining fabric to go with them. So I'm still cutting my squares and I think I'll wait to sew my block in the morning.
The color wheel idea sounds fun. Maybe I'll give it a go. I like the gold and black in your block.
Vicki was attracted to the swirly gray; I'm attracted to the mottled blue. This is a great block; allows for a lot of creativity.
Love the colours in this and the way they work together
Great the colours in this block. There are so many possibilities! I love this block!
Nice color choices. Looks like you had no trouble with seam accuracy. I'm hoping this block will help mine improve!
