I've missed 3 weeks because my machine was in the shop for repairs. It was a long 3 weeks. I enjoyed making this block, but I tweeked the middle a bit. I couldn't decide which of the two fabrics I wanted for the diagonal blocks, so I just used them both.

That is funny!!! I like your decision making skills - hmmm, I choose.... both!!!
It works though!! And the way to not go into twiching mode because your machine is out of commision, get a baby machine - one like the Janome gold (?) {I think thats the name|, and you take it to classes with you and when your regular machine is at the spa, you can still sew to your hearts content!!
that's what I have had to do since I put my ol' girl out of commision awhile back. She is all good to go now, I just need to pick her up, but still, without my little machine, I would not be sewing at all.....
I like what you did with this block. Being without a sewing machine is the pits!
