I love it, Ros!
This is a versatile block. Your use of striped fabric is clever. I think it also would be fairly simple to resize unlike some more complicated blocks. I wonder why it isn't seen more often.
I also like your stripes and dots. Orange is my granddaughters' favorite colors, and I'm starting to really like it also.
