Kathie's Week 2 Quartrefoils

This block went together very easily, as you tell since I have it done before lunch on Friday. I like scrappy quilts, and I think this block would be very nice for that type of quilt. I made mine a 12 inch block instead of 9 inches. For those of you who might also want a 12 inch block, make the following changes to cutting your fabric:

  1. Change the Color 2 2 x 16 strip to 2-1/2 by 20.

  2. Change the Color 3 3-1/2 x 14 strip to 4-1/2 x 18.

  3. Change the strips used for the 4 patch corners from 2 x 8 to 2-1/2 x 10.

  4. The 9 units that make up the block should measure 4-1/2 rather than 3-1/2.

I hope you all enjoy this block as much as I did.

Wow! Done already! I was thinking of changing that block to a 12inch one too. Thanks for doing the math.
