Since "Queen's X" is/was a small block, I went with the same fabrics as "Leap Frog"... blue bubbles, orange spots, and surfing frogs. The stripes are a fabric that Erin brought me from China last summer (she was in Shanghai to teach Summer School). I remembered, too late, that if I had turned half of the striped squares 90 degrees all the stripes in the HSTs would have been going the same direction... but I wasn't willing to swap them out. I used the directional stripes the same way on each of the diagonals, and I think it turned out OK anyway, Ya think?

pretty cute, Nan!
It is very summery and fun...I don't even notice directional problems really...it is not noticeable at all.
I think it looks great. I love that bubble fabric.
You have a nice fun block here. The stipes are fine because you placed them in a consistent manner so they are balanced.
