My plan for this block was to use it for a pillow for one of my step daughters. She's redone her living room with yellow walls and a rust/burgandy sofa. I had these fabrics in my stash and I thought they'd do well, but I think this pattern is just too busy for them. Oh, well. It just goes to show that sometimes what looks good on the worktable doesn't always translate well in the block. Maybe I'll try this same combination of fabric in another week's block to make something I like a little better. I think this block is very interesting and I especially liked the ones made this week with the bright clear colors.

I happen to Love this block and think it would make a grand pillow with a yellow ruffle.
I like the value gradiant you have between the fabrics... the two small stars being the same seems to make them "disappear" a little more than I was expecting. Odd that.
It maybe doesn't show the actual quilt pattern so clearly, but I think it is a beautiful block and would make a lovely pillow!
Nice job, Kathie... I do love the chinz flowrs fabric, but you are right - it makes the block too "fussy". The rest of the fabrics are a knockout together.
