I haven't been playing along with the weekly block party for several weeks due to ....well, just plain ole life. I have been sewing a bit -- here's my Chimney and Cornerstones block times 12 in blues and greens. I took the one I made for the block party ( top left corner) and kept going in greens and blues. I figured out the sashing strips to make a nine patch in the intersections. this is destined to become a baby blanket/quilt for the local children's hospital.

busy busy! Its interesting to see how in some colour combinations the small blocks forming the overall X shape stand out, in others its the + shape in the centre of the block...
WOW! You really did jump on this one, Brenda! Very pretty quilt, but then I'm a sucker for greens and blues! The lattice sashing really does complete the look... thanks for sharing.
Great job! It's nice to actually see one of the blocks worked into an actual quilt. I like. It gives it some more pizzazz than just a simple one colour shashing would have done.
You've shown that the block looks great as a full quilt, and the sashing you used really accentuates the diagonals. Wonderful, and going to such a good cause.
I love the color combination! Great quilt.
Fantastic! The sashing is wonderful! I love what you did with it. That quilt is going to make some child very happy!
That is very pretty!
