Spring Stripes

Sorry! I have spring on my mind! If you have been to my blog lately you will have noticed that I put a photo of some crazy crocuses that came up and flowered in my garden! They are very early this year. Poor little confused crocuses! The rest of the yard is still covered with snow and the piles at the side of the road and driveway are too tall to see over, but those darn crocuses are smiling at the sunshine! They give me hope that spring is coming - sooner or later.

That is why I did my block in blues and yellow. Yes, it is yellow. I apologize for the photo. It didn't come out very well, but it is really a very nice soft yellow. This was an easy block. Can't believe I said that. All HST too. That would have totally scared me off a couple of months ago. But now I find it easy. This Block Party thing has been great! Thanks Quilt Pixie!!!

A couple of weeks ago, I had no idea what an HST was, let alone how to make them...I agree, a BIG rund of grateful thanks goes to QP!

I know the membership of FBP may change but I plan on never stopping my participation in this wonderful group!

Love the spring feel to the block.

I'm with both of you Hetty & Marlene, this has been the best in terms of improving my quilting, and I'm trying things I never would last year.

A big round of applause for Quilt Pixie!

I love your "spring" fabric choices, Hetty. You've done a great job of getting everything to line up -- I suppose your flowerbeds are all in a line too! :-0
