I have to admit when I first saw the block for the week, I wasn't sure that I liked it. But then, after looking it for a bit, what I saw in the block was not a 'leap frog' but a flower bud. Since it was the first day of spring, I decided to try to make the block 'bloom.' I really like the result. It just goes to show that a first impression of a block shouldn't be your last - use your imagination! Happy National Quilting Day!!

Oh, it's lovely! It looks so pretty there with the flowers! I still have to do last week's, and now this week's. I am starting a dangerous pattern of putting these off... I can't do this and hope to keep up. Yikes!
What a great idea to make a vase mat...I love candle mats and such so this is a good idea for me as well.
Love the springy look to your fabrics!
your fabric choices really bring this block to life! Its a wonderful srping addition :-)
Very nice and it looks so good with the vase of flowers. I like that green dot batik fabric and the fact that it actually has some tones of orange and yellow in it to tie everything together.
I love what you did with this block. It really turned out cute. I love how fresh and springy it is.
Kathie, this is a beautiful block! The 'spotted' fabric is a winner! Glad you could join us.
I used some of my Michael Miller Bohemian set of FQs...I love them.
