week #7

After last week's struggles I had high hopes when I made the drawing that this week's block would be a nice, sane, easy one...

And, while there are a heck of a lot of pieces in a little 8" block (69 in total), the pieces all fit into square subunits so all that nasty bias stretch from last week should be a thing of the past... here's hoping!!

So, you want to see this week's block? Head on over to Quilter's Cache and check out "My Lucky Stars!" :-)

Look at all those HSTs, and they are even smaller than what I have been use to since this is only an 8" block. I think I will still make my HSTs larger as if I was making them for a bigger block and trim them down. I'm not into minitures or torture LOL.

I love this block and am eager to start a new after I go to get my quick quarter ruler tonight.

Am I the only one who thinks this is just plain crazy? 69 pieces in 8 inches? I may attempt it, or use my limited sewing time this weekend to make some wonky stars for the brushfire quilts. But I'll watch the rest of you have a go!
