Fancy Stripes Meets Spring

I decided to just look through my stash of pre-cut squares and see if I could find anything spring like since our weather here went back into the deep freeze. It went from a high of +9C (+48F) in the early afternoon and started dropping to an overnight low of -24C (-11F). I'm trying to encourage spring to come back.

I made an 8" block instead of a 12" block because the squares I selected were only 3" in size and that's OK. Funny how in a previous week I was increasing the size of the block and now I'm decreasing it. I'm pleased with my points and the overall block.

'tis a great reminder that the cold and snow will one day give way to violets :-)

Spring does have a way of sneaking up on us... bringing hope and sunshine. The flower print is perfect here!

Oh spring! I love it. I like your idea of changing the size in order to use what you had on hand.
