Week 4, and January is coming to an end...

This week's block is called "Dewey Dream Quilt", another 10" block -- a pretty nine patch with a border of hst (half square triangles)

I'm beginning to wonder where all the 12" blocks are that I chose, but there it is. I'm choosing a number randomly by drawing a card from a jar, and then matching it with a list I have. About half the blocks on the list are 12", but given how the first few weeks have gone you'd never know it! :-)

I've been busy cutting squares and bricks and organizing my scraps following Bonnie's scrap system so have lots of 2.5" scrap squares to choose this weeks fabrics from -- my first block using pre-cut fabrics from this system! :-) Hopefully that'll encourage me to use more variety in the fabrics as it should be relatively easy to do so... guess we'll see when I get to the sewing.

the scrap user system works well. I made a quilt this week from pre-cut strips. I have a question about Quilter's Cache -- I've been printing out the instructions, but one page doesn't always print on on a single sheet. Anyone have an idea so I don't waste paper?

Looking forward to getting started on this but I really must finish the Rotunda first!
