Some you like, some you don't

Finished both weeks 3 and 4 blocks and staying with the black, white and green theme. I don't think Rotunda will be reappearing any time  soon - too many small pieces. I do like the fact that this block party is really making me work hard to improve the accuracy of my piecing - not something much needed in art quilts. May not be obvious to others but I can see an improvement already. Thanks Donna, great idea.

I couldn't really ever imagine this color combination working well together, but it really does and is so striking! Very hip.

I am gaining strides through this experience and have improved greatly just by practicing each week...I may have to go back and redo the beginning blocks at the end because by then I hope to be at a higher level than I currently am.

like you, most of my quilting doesn't require accuracy, so one block a week has been a great "reminder" and chance to practise some of those skills....

The colours you're using are wonderful -- nice crisp and simple, with a modern feel...

The black and green is very contemporary. What a great quilt this blocks could make!
