Felines in the Rotunda

I finally got my block finished having started yesterday evening. It took some time to pick all my fabrics since I only had some of them in my scrap box and the rest I had to look through the stash. I ended up with directional print challenge in the leopard spot fabric, but I wasn't about to rip out the squares and redo it. My block finished at 9 1/2" so the piecing is going well. I like the overall effect but still the thought of doing a whole quilt of these little squares is mind numbing.

You did a really nice job...I like the wild feel to it and the colors are bright and happy.

I like the fussy cut leapord in the middle with the fur print on the outside. Very nice.

Wild! Love the leopard spots. Are they directional? I can't tell.

I'm glad the leopard spots aren't so noticable in their directions. The spots are going vertically in the 1 1/2" squares and horizontally in the rectangles.

the "fur" fabric on the outside does a great job of tying the whole block together... love the warm orange too :-)

I love it. I don't think the leopard spots created any directional problem. Zrbra stripes would but not those spots.

Love the colours and the leopard. Can't see any directional problems with the corners.

I guess I'm just being too picky. I'm glad everyone likes the block. It was a fun one to do.

What a great dramatic looking block. Very cleaver of you to use the bright orange to emphasize the eyes.
