Calico Kitty from Week 4

I got my cat done - from week 4. I love this block. It was easy and fun. I took Kathie's suggestion for the tail.

I also made a small paper pieced cat for this week's journal quilt. He is 6 inches square and is wearing a bow tie in order to cover a little mistake that I made. I will make this into another mug rug. It's about 6in. by 12in.

June's Week 4 - Standing Purple Cat

This standing cat is really cute!  It went together pretty quickly.  The directions were clear, but I found I had to draw a diagram to be sure what I was supposed to do.

I found that by sewing the diagonals a little off center the flap covered the original material. When I sewed right in the middle it didn't work out right.

2011 Week 4 - Standing Cat

This week we are continuing with another animal.

We will be doing something we've all seen in person - a standing cat!
