Keepin' Up...

Goshen Star was a quick block to make ... and since it is a 10" block, I used one of the bright kids' prints I used last year. If I keep up with the size/fabric choices, I should have a fun quilt by Summer (I have a few blocks in this size from last year that will do nicely).

Getting Going with Goshen Star

Sometimes I have trouble getting started in the morning, especially on a Saturday. Then I am always happy when there is a Party block to work on. Just a small block to whet my appetite. It gets me going. Kind of like a warm-up exercise.
I like this star. It went together very quickly. I used a small piece of a purple batik that was in my scrap bin. It was one of my favourite batiks. It's all gone now. I guess that means I can take a trip to my LQS to see if I can find another fabric that calls to me.

Goshen Star - week 7

This is the block that came up from the list. It's called 'Goshen Star' and is a 10 inch block. It looks fairly easy.
