You deserve an A+++ for effort and perseverance. Your points are looking really great.

I'm for anything that makes one's life easier, and if a gadget does it, great. I do like that revolving cutting board she had in the video. I can see that coming in handy.Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03465131901456763756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1289588278594053214.post-22287374332503350342009-02-08T10:35:00.000-05:002009-02-08T10:35:00.000-05:00Love the creative way you used your first block at...Love the creative way you used your first block attempt! This is what quilting is supposed to be -- fun and creative! Don't ever strive for perfection. It's not attainable. Just have fun and love what you are doing!!Carol E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02741550863747328734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1289588278594053214.post-44120001959080267722009-02-08T10:19:00.000-05:002009-02-08T10:19:00.000-05:00Yeah, uummmm...I was sewing right down the middle ...Yeah, uummmm...I was sewing right down the middle of the two squares, NOT a quarter inch away from the center...

WOW, light bulb moment. I was blond in a former life, plus I am a visual learner, not a written word learner!!!

$3 for the quick quarter ruler is charper than a new foot for right now, and will help me to commit to memory the measurements. I like to follow lines. I always cut my squares a bit bigger than called for. I draw the line on the fabric with a pencil and a ruler. Then I sew on either side of the line using my quarter inch foot. I then use my ordinary ruler, putting the 45 degree line in the seam to cut the piece down to the right size.hettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15090080775748699453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1289588278594053214.post-22423942440083811022009-02-08T09:57:00.000-05:002009-02-08T09:57:00.000-05:00what a great little piece you created -- not only ...what a great little piece you created -- not only got to practise something you wanted to understand better but got a new Valentine trinket out of it!
