I sewed across the diagonal of the square and flipped the piece back to make the triangles on the center square.

Also cut 4 - 3.5 x 6.5 blue rectangles. Cut 8 - 3.5 inch squares of the yellow. Put those on the corners of the blue rectangles using a sew and flip method to make the flying geese units.

I made the corner HSTs by cutting 2 squares each 4 inches square of yellow and purple. I layered them right sides together and sewed a 1/4" away from the diagonal. That gives slightly oversized squares that can be trimmed to 3.5".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1289588278594053214.post-18981185655615377072009-03-01T10:45:00.000-05:002009-03-01T10:45:00.000-05:00Totally LOVE your color selection...would you mind...Totally LOVE your color selection...would you mind posting your fabric cutting sizes for the pieces...I want to do this version please!!!

Thanks!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11896061515444647254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1289588278594053214.post-15455157008573882012009-03-01T10:29:00.000-05:002009-03-01T10:29:00.000-05:00your breakdown of the pattern for sewing makes a l...your breakdown of the pattern for sewing makes a lot more sense than the HST with all those seams... :-)Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15763869971803840742noreply@blogger.com
